A children’s entertainer and songwriter Roger Day of Nashville, Tenn. was the special guest Thursday at the Liberty Theater. As part of the Opelousas-Eunice Library Performing series Day put on an entertaining show of songs, dance, for children attending.

Young girls attend E. Recreational Center's Cheer Camp
"Gooo Tigers,” and “Beat The Tigers” were heard and seen at Eunice Recreational Center this week as a Cheer Camp was attended by many young girls. Johnette Pitre, camp director, said 30 girls were registered for camp, and another Cheer Camp will be held the week of July 21.
Silton Cormier of Eunice donates blood
United Blood Services motto, “Find the Hero in You...donate Blood,” encouraged Eunice residents last week to give blood where their mobile units were at Eunice Walmart and the Queen Cinema. Each donor received a free movie ticket pass.
