Seniors gathered for the annual St. Landry Parish Council on Aging Mardi Gras dance held Monday afternoon at the Northwest Community Center.
A crowd of traditional Mardi Gras clad seniors, some masked, danced to Cajun and Zydeco music provided by Big J & Zydeco Dog Pound.
Round the Block Mardi Gras parade at Glendale Elementary
A Mardi Gras “round the block” parade was held at Glendale Elementary Thursday afternoon with students and faculty clad in Mardi Gras attire.
Beads and trinkets were thrown by students to parade watchers. Many parents, grandparents, and family members watched.
Principal James Wallett at St. Edmund Elementary, a target of Silly String
Last week St. Edmund students brought in coins to raise money for their teachers to purchase books at the upcoming book fair. Lori Moosa’s firstgrade class brought in the most money and was rewarded with Silly String, and they used their reward on their principal James Wallett.
Eunice High Senior Book Drive Project
Eunice High seniors Addie Field, Danielle Doucet, Carrie Soileau and Jordan Pacheco concluded their Senior Book Drive/Bake Sale Project Saturday, as they asked the public to drop off books at library for book drive to benefit the library.
