Dr. Seuss Birthday celebrated at Highland Elementary
Highland Elementary students and staff celebrated Read Across America in conjunction with Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Students enjoyed and participated in different activities and events, some included crafting Red and White hats, which were hand crafted by Pre-k, kindergarten and first-graders.
Eunice Symphony Orchestra rehearses for upcoming Spring Concert
The Eunice Symphony Orchestra, now in its 13th year, is gearing up for its annual spring concert, “Over the Air Waves.”
The performance will be held at the Liberty Theater on Sunday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. with a reception at 6:30 p.m.

Ashley Moffett, 15-year-old daughter of the Rev. Tim and Susan Moffett of Eunice, signs her recently published book “The Orphans” Sunday at First Baptist Church’s fellowship hall. Moffett recently returned from a Book to Screen PitchFest event held in Las Vegas, Nev.
Essay winners named at St. Francis
In conjunction with Catholic Schools week, St. Francis eighth-graders wrote essays entitled “What A Catholic Education Means to Me.” The top three students chosen, read their essays during morning assembly.
