Seventh-and eighth-graders from St. Francis School attended a religious retreat led by the Rev. Travis Abadie, associate pastor at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and the junior and senior retreat team at St. Edmund. The retreat was held at the Church of the Annunciation Hall in Duralde.
Acadian Baptist Center near Richard hosted its annual Senior Adult luncheon on April 12. The guest speaker for the event was Curt Iles, resident of central Louisiana and author of twelve books about rural Louisiana.
In back, Eunice High School seniors Alexis Marinos, left, Madison Ortego and Hayden West raised money by holding a bake sale at school for their senior project. They then purchased supplies at Walmart and brought them to residents at Eunice Manor. EHS senior Robbie Deshotel also participated.

Junior and senior Academic Curriculum Excellence Lettermen were recognized at the school’s Academic Excellence program. Principal Mitchell Fontenot added the criteria to meet Academic Lettering requirements.
