Drug raid nabs dozen

The St. Landry Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Highway Interdiction Team along with Opelousas Police Department, Eunice Police Department and Port Barre Police Department conducted a warrant round-up called, Operation Street Sweeper. 

Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz stated these warrants were obtained through hours of surveillance and undercover purchases from several dealers throughout St. Landry Parish.  

A dozen suspects were arrested and six suspects were are still at large at mid-morning.

Those at large:

1. Freddie L. Alfred III, B/M, age 23, 450 South 2nd St, Eunice La. 

2. Brent Adams, B/M, age 33, 144 Tulip Dr. Opelousas, La. 

3. Richard Hatfield, B/M, age 37, 1515 College St, Opelousas, La.  

4. Corey Arline, B/M, age 21, 422 Sapphire St. Opelousas, La.

5. Jorel Hughes, B/M, age 30, 613 Evergreen St. Opelousas, La.  

6. Kenneth D. Bob, B/M, age 35, 303 S. Anderson Street, Washington, La.  

7. Rufus L. Ferguson Jr., W/M, age 55, 533 N. Levee Rd., Krotz Springs, La.

1. Blonda F. Hunt, B/F, 1747 Caddo St. Opelousas, La., age 44, 2 counts of distribution of a schedule II CDS (Crack Cocaine), violation of the uniform CDS in a drug free zone.

2. Shawn M. Knott, W/M, 315 E. Pound St. Arnaudville, La., age 34, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing public passages, turning signals required.

 3. Lee A. Sam Jr., B/M, 615 N. Union Street Opelousas, La., age 23, distribution of a schedule I CDS (Marijuana), violation of uniform CDS in a drug free zone.

4. Arleen P. Reviere, aka “Snoopy”, W/F, 2998 Courtableau Rd. Port Barre, La., age 56, distribution of a schedule III CDS (Lortab), distribution of a schedule IV CDS.

5. Marvin Lyle Jr., B/M, 128 Leo St. Church Point, La., age 37, distribution of a Schedule I CDS (Marijuana).

6. Henrietta Aymond, W/F, 833 Martin Luther King Dr. Opelousas, La., age 59, distribution of a schedule III CDS.

7. Torey Arline, B/M, 422 Sapphire St. Opelousas, La., age 41, distribution of a schedule I CDS (Marijuana), violation of the uniform CDS in a drug free zone.

 8. Coley D. Rideaux, B/M, 104 Anatole Road, Grand Coteau, La., age 31, distribution of a schedule II CDS (Crack Cocaine).

9. Edgar Marion Sharp, W/M, 462 Regina Street, Krotz Springs, La., age 50, possession of a schedule I CDS (Marijuana).

10. Deborah Mires, W/F, 547 Hwy 31, Arnaudville, La., age 49, distribution of schedule I CDS (Marijuana).

11. Shawn M. Young, W/F, 520 Eighth St, Krotz Springs, La., age 44, distribution of schedule II CDS (Lortabs), violation of uniform CDS in a drug free zone.
