Steven Richard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Richard, of Lawtell, won the national 4-H computer competition at Purdue University, according to Sally Soileua, St. Landry Parish 4-H agent. He was a St. Edmund High School graduate was attending the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
Patrick Vidrine, of Eunice Boy Scout Troop 430, earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He is the son of Kyle and Melany Vidrine. He was the grandson of Mrs. Mercedes and Rivers Vidrine and Dr. and Mrs. Rodney Landreneau. He was the third generation of Eagle Scout in the Landreneau family.
Al Courville, commander of VFW Post 8971, presented a contribution to the St. Edmund Booster Club. Accepting the donation was Pat Manuel, Booster Club president.
The Eunice Bulb and Blossom Club Garden of the Week marker was placed at the resident of Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Fontenot on Athabaska Street.
Members of the Tri-Parish rodeo team were pictured. The members include Chris Young, Tora LeJeune, Amanda Smith, Jason Courville, Katee Guillory, Bronson Miller, Sam Smith, Kyle Siebert, Travis LaCour, Michael Watkins, Amy LaCour, Chad Faul, Ryan Thibodeaux and Blaise Vidrine.
