Eunice pedestrian struck and killed by vehicle

A Eunice man is dead after police say a drunk driver struck him as he ran across a highway.
According to police, the victim was crossing Hwy. U.S. 190 West, near Bobcat Drive, around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning when he was hit by a vehicle driven by Wilbert Ned of Eunice.
Eunice Police Chief Ronald Dies said Ned was taken into custody and charged with DWI 1st offense.
The name of victim has not yet been released.
