SLPSO probe husband in death of wife

Authorities continued on Monday to investigate a St. Landry Parish woman’s death after discovering her body buried in her husband's back yard Saturday.
“Sandra Tillett’s body was discovered after her husband, Arthur Tillett, told us where it was buried,”said St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz in a press release. “She was buried in a backyard shed under a concrete slab.”
“Arthur Tillett specifically admitted only to burying Sandra’s body after her death. He did not admit to contributing to her death,” Guidroz added.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office officials said that an autopsy will be conducted in Lafayette to determine the exact cause of death. Arthur Tillett remains a person-of-interest in the investigation, and is currently being held at the St. Landry Parish Jail.
