Fire Chief Mike Arnold is asking the Eunice Board of Aldermen to authorize his department to investigate the origin and cause of fires.
The following are arrests by Eunice Police.
April 7
Allen R. Semien, 33, 800 block of Martin Luther King, Eunice. Theft of a motor vehicle.
Crystal Gail Dietz, 36, 200 block of Benoit Street, Eunice. Possession of marijuana.

The town of Welsh, some 25 miles east of Lake Charles, has become a point of interest in the halls of power at the Louisiana State Capitol.
Louisiana legislators focused on coastal restoration and resources Wednesday, approving the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority plan for the fiscal year 2016-2017 detailing how to combat growing issue of land loss across the state’s Gulf Coast.
