Boucherie, jam session, ceremony start festival's inaugural day

The Experience Louisiana Festival officially opened at about 11 a.m. Saturday for its inaugural run on the LSUE campus. The Experience Louisiana Festival enjoyed a successful launch Saturday on the Louisiana State University Eunice campus. 
The festival continues today with a bicycle ride at 8 a.m. followed by a game of petanque — a thoroughly French yard game. 

Sunday’s Experience Louisiana Festival schedule

The following is today’s schedule for the Experience Louisiana Festival to be held on the Louisiana State University campus. 
8 a.m. — Trail community bike ride.
10 a.m. — Game of petanque, Musicians’ Village; and boudin- making demo, Eunice Superette Food Booth.

Eunice master plan committee begins work

An 11-person committee formed to study the feasibilty of master plan for Eunice met for the first time Tuesday at City Hall.
The committee members were greeted by Jack Burson, alderman at-large, who spoke in general terms about the committee’s assignment from the council.
