LSU Eunice will hold a short course for rural first responders on working with the news media on Aug. 20. The seven-hour tuition-free course will be held on the LSU Eunice campus. The deadline for registration is Aug. 6.

Early registration opened May 1 for all Tour du Teche paddle races, including the new ubermarathons being launched from Shreveport-Bossier City, the Tour de la Rivière Rouge and 410 de Louisiane.

Doing some reading for a sermon late last week, I stumbled upon Jeremiah’s call story.
“The Lord gave me (Jeremiah) this message: ‘I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.’ “
