Methodist minister

BATON ROUGE – Services are Wednesday for retired United Methodist minister the Rev. Freddie Henderson, Sr.  He died Sept. 26 at age 69.

He was pastor of St. Luke United Methodist Church and former superintendent of the New Orleans UMC district. He was former pastor of Wesley and Jordan United Methodist Churches.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter.

School Board member

TICKFAW – Services for businessman and School Board member Gordon Hutchinson, Sr. are Wednesday. He died Sept. 28 at age 91.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He owned Hutchison Tires and was founder of Big River Tires. He presented Central on the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter.
