Roland Fruge

Roland Fruge of Duralde died on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Acadian Medical Center. He was 73. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Jim Cormier officiating.
He was a 1958 graduate of Basile High School. He worked on the family farm and later went to work for John Deere and retired from Hollier Implement after 38 years.

Survivors include his wife, Wedna Vidrine Fruge of Duralde; his son, Keith Fruge and wife, Tammie and his daughter, Angela Fruge all of Eunice;five grandchildren, Lacey F. Courville and husband, Kelly, Jerod Fruge, Hunter Reed, Christopher McBride and wife, Kristen and Kimley Triplett and four great-grandchildren, Jace, Hayden and Lexi Courville and Addyson Fruge ; and a brother, Earline Fruge of Basile as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by son, Randy Fruge; his parents, Louis and Zula Sonnier Fruge; two brothers, Jimmy and Merlin Fruge.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, November 12th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, November 13th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Tuesday.
