High court upholds gun amendment

The Louisiana Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that a constitutional amendment voters authorized making gun ownership a fundamental right does not infringe on the rights of felons who by law aren't allowed to have firearms.
Justices reversed a decision by a New Orleans Criminal District Court judge who ruled the statute forbidding felons from having firearms unconstitutional in the wake of the 'fundamental right' amendment.
