Deputy suspended pending probe of husband's shooting death

A St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Deputy is on administrative leave, pending State Police investigation of her allegedly shooting her husband, a former Breaux Bridge policeman.
Kendall Alexander, 34, was shot Sunday night, allegedly by his wife, Deputy Chrystal Cluse Alexander, who was off duty at the time.
Domestic abuse allegations involving the victim and the suspect go back several years, preceding their eventual marriage.
Kendall Alexaner resigned from the Breaux Bridge department after being arrested following a fight with Chrystal in 2007, records show.
