More charges for husband in death of wife
St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Officials continue to tack on charges to a “person of interest” in the investigation into the disappearance and death of an Opelousas woman.
Sandra Tillet– who went missing in Opelousas in December– was found buried under a concrete slab while the suspect, Arthur Tillet, was picked up as a suspect in the state of Georgia.
Spokesperson for St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Captain Megan Vizena stated that the husband received two more charges
“Arthur Tillett, person-of-interest in the death of his wife Sandra Tillett, has been charged with cruelty of the infirmed and unlawful disposal of remains,” Vizena said.
“Autopsy reports show the cause of Sandra Tillett’s death as being undetermined. This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.”
Arthur Tillett is currently being held at the St. Landry Parish Jail without bond.
