And the winner is...

An Opelousas artist, Theon Guillory, was selected by the Eunice Chamber of Commerce as the winner of the 29th Annual World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off poster contest.
Guillory’s winning painting will be made into the official poster of the 29th Annual World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off and the t-shirt that is sold at this year’s event.
“Art is passion and my life,” said Guillory. “And I want to thank everyone who was involved in the contest. And I want to thank the judges for appreciating my art and choosing me to be the winner of the Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off contest. I’m very excited about the whole thing.
Guillory said that his art is a style that is “somewhere between impressionist and realism”. His work represents a mixed medium of mostly oil-based and acrylic paints.
Guillory was presented with $100 check, courtesy of L'Acadie Inn, and a dinner for two at DC’s Sports Bar and Steakhouse, courtesy of KEUN radio, from Crawfish Cook-off Committee members on Tuesday.
