Battery indictment alleges teapot was the weapon
A Gueydan man learned allegedly hitting his sister with a teapot got him in hot water.
A true bill was submitted by a Grand Jury Tuesday against a father and son from Gueydan.
Timothy James Campbell of 41024 Shell Beach Road in Gueydan received a true bill for the charges of aggravated second degree battery and simple battery.
The second degree battery charge is in connection with allegedly hitting Peggy Campbell, his sister, with the teapot on Aug. 24, 2013.
The same day (Aug. 24), Timothy Campbell allegedly hit Jacqueline Istre with his hand, thus, charged with simple battery. Istre is Peggy’s daughter.
Also, the grand jury handed down a simple battery charge against Jean Jacque Campbell for allegedly hitting Peggy, his aunt. Jean Jacque is Timothy’s son.
