Fire destroys Clanton Avenue house

Fire consumed the home of Marion “Nootsie” and Lori Sattler on Clanton Avenue late Thursday night.
According to police radio logs, the fire posed a threat to the next -door neighbor’s home as the house at 1360 Clanton “went up in flames”.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., a caller from the residence reported the fire from inside the home. All occupants were safely evacuated and taken to another address by police.
Records indicated that the fire was extinguished by 12:56 a.m. Friday.
Cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
