Telephone exec
WEST MONROE – Services for retired Century Telephone executive R.L. Hargrove will be Wednesday. He died Jan. 27 at age 81.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and was a CPA. He was with Century Telephone, which started in Monroe, for 31 years, retiring as its executive vice president. He served nine years on the State Civil Service Commission and was also a member of the State Ethics Commission. He was board treasurer of Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife Lila and three children.
Arrangements are by Mulhearn.
