Motorcyclist dies when car pulls into Harley's path
A Pineville motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon when a car pulled into his path on La. 107.
Troopers responded to the crash around 5:35 p.m., which occurred on LA Hwy 107 at LA Hwy 1192 in Avoyelles Parish. The crash involved a 2003 Lincoln Town Car, driven by David C. O'Quinn, 50, of Marksville and a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Paul T. McKeithen, 61, of Pineville.
Prior to the crash, the Lincoln was stopped on LA Hwy 1192 at LA Hwy 107. The Lincoln then entered LA Hwy 107 which placed it in the travel lane of the northbound Harley. This action resulted in the Harley colliding with the Lincoln.
O'Quinn was wearing his seat belt and was not injured. He was charged with failure to yield from a stop sign. None of his passengers were injured.
McKeithen was wearing a helmet and was ejected from his Harley during the crash. He was transported to Rapides Regional Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.
Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
