Clayton Ray Bertrand

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Clayton Ray Bertrand announces his sudden passing on Sunday, May 08, 2016 at his home. He was 77. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.
Clayton loved raising, riding and showing horses and enjoyed cajun music. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandchildren and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him especially his previous wife and mother of his children, Rosa Bertrand of Eunice; his wife, Mary Johnson of Eunice; his three sons, James "Boyd" Bertrand of Hattiesburg, MS, Hubert "Tiny" Bertrand of Eunice and Danny Bertrand and wife, Kelly of Little Rock, Arkansas; his two daughters, Kim Bertrand of Eunice and Pam Bertrand Moore and husband, Douglas Moore II of Leblanc; his brother, Allen "J.R." Bertrand and wife, Francis of Mermentau; Mary Jane Bertrand of Eunice and Pat Bertrand of Iota, his fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Troy Bertrand; his parents, Oday and Ava Lejeune Bertrand; his brother, Estherwood Bertrand; his sisters, Clerda Miller, Alverta LaFleur, Ida Mae Ardoin and Joyce Manuel.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, May 10th from 9:00 am until 11:00 pm and again on Wednesday, May 11th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:15 pm Tuesday evening.
