Nelan McDaniel

Nelan McDaniel died on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Post Acute Specialty Hospital of Lafayette at the age of 80.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 12 noon on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Thomas Cemetery in Savoy with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

He was the owner and operator of McDaniels Sewing Machine Repair.
Survivors include his four daughters, Brenda Fontenot of Breaux Bridge, Gwyn Kirby of Maurepas, Cheryl Israel of Eunice and Cindy Brown of Opelousas; two sisters, Nell Millang of Kearney, Neb. and Mary Dean Dow of North Platte, Neb.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Alice Fontenot McDaniel; three brothers; four sisters; and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, November 19 from 7:00 am until time of services.
