Virgie Romero

 Virgie Godeaux Romero, 84, died on the evening of Friday, November 08, 2013 at her home in Basile. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Basile. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery with Reverend Dwayne Smith officiating.

Survivors include four sons, Davis Romero and wife, Julie of Basile, Manaen Romero and wife, Becky of Bethlehem, Ga., Maritan Romero and Mansual Romero, both of Basile; two daughters, Maggie R. Banta and husband, Gefory G. of Sulphur, and Marilyn R. Hoffpauir and husband, Van of Duson; sister, Celeste Stroder of Basile; ten grandchildren, Jacque Romero, Dwan Romero, Chayson Romero, Amanda Parsons, Brandon Guillory, Michael “Troy” Guillory, Marlena Guillory, Marianne Guillory, Blake Hoffpauir and Brock Hoffpauir; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oswald and Edna Young Godeaux; brothers, Jules, Howard, Amos, Valerie and Ambroise Godeaux; sisters, Margaret Tate and Rose LaFleur; and brother in-law, George Stroder.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Basile  on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 8:00 am until time of services.
