John Fontenot died on Thursday, January 09, 2014 at Eunice Manor at the age of 88. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 12 noon on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Former sheriff, U.S. Marshal
HOMER – Services for former sheriff and U.S. Marshal J.R. Oakes will be Saturday. He died Jan. 9 at age 84.
He was Claiborne Parish sheriff for 25 years before being appointed a U.S. Marshal for Louisiana’s Western District.

Kody Todd Fontenot died on Wednesday, January 08, 2014 at the age of 32. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt.
Patti Reed
Services for Patti Lynn Reed, resident of Baton Rouge and formerly of Eunice, will be Saturday.
She died on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the age of 57. She had a history of heart problems.
She was a graduate of Eunice High School in 1974.
