Baseball jamboree kicks off season

The annual Perry Pitre Ford baseball jamboree will be held this weekend at North Park and Bobcat Field.
The Junior Varsity jamboree will begin at 4 p.m. at North Park when Iota takes on Sacred Heart of Ville Platte.
Teurlings Catholic faces Opelousas Catholic At 5:30 p.m., with Mamou - Notre Dame follows at 7 p.m.
Eunice and St. Edmund will face off at 8:30 p.m.
The varsity jamboree begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Bobcat Field when Mamou takes on Ascension Episcopal at 10 .a.m.
The Green Demons will then face Opelousas Catholic at 11:10 a.m.
Ascension Episcopal will battle Iota at 12:20 p.m., followed by Pine Prairie-OC at 1:30 p.m.
Iota will face Sacred Heart of Ville Platte at 2:40 p.m.
St. Edmund will take on Pine Prairie at 3:50 p.m.
Eunice High will entertain SHVP at 5 p.m.
The varsity jamboree finale pits the Blue Jays against the Bobcats at 6:10 p.m.
The freshmen jamboree will begin at noon on Sunday when Eunice takes on Mamou.
Teurlings Catholic and Mamou will play at 1:15, while the Rebels will face Notre Dame at 2:30 p.m.
The Bobcats will close the weekend against Notre Dame at 3:45 p.m.
The games played on Friday and Sunday will be five innings or 1:20 time limit.
All games played on Saturday are three innings or one hour time limit.
