Six Blue Jays land on 5-1A team

St. Edmund placed six players on the 5-1A All-District basketball team.
Junior William Chachere (13 ppg) was named first team, while junior John Guillory (10 ppg) was placed on the second team.
Senior Alex Hunt was named to the All-Defensive team.
Junior Dylan Bieber along with sophomores Austin Gradney and Jacque Richard were named Honorable Mention selections.
North Central’s Draheir Duplechain was selected as All-District MVP and Hurricane coach Damieon Mills was named Coach of the Year.
Also on the first team were North Central’s Rodrick Smith, Troy Pichon from Catholic High of Pointe Coupee and Sacred Heart of Ville Platte’s Sean Fontenot.
Along with Guillory on the second team are Blake Fulmer from False River Academy, Lucas Patin from Catholic High of Pointe Coupee as well as North Central’s Decorion Sams, Kantrell Davenport and Jamar Cheneveret.
Along with Hunt on the All-Defensive team are False River’s Sam Allen, Jared Lee from Catholic High of Pointe Coupee, North Central’s Jacory Lamb and Mikey Loughlin from Sacred Heart.
