IOTA – With just four wins over their first three years, first-year head coach Josh Andrus is positive his seniors are hungry to see improvement in the final football season.
The Eunice High Alumni softball tournament is a numbers game.
According to tournament director Tara LeBlanc, the more alumni who participates the more it benefits their former school.
This is the ninth-annual softball tournament as the first year there were 455 participants.
The hot August sun is a concern for athletic trainers as the football teams put on their gear and hit the practice fields.
According to Performance Therapy’s Glenn Brown, heat-related issues can be a big issue especially early in the acclimation process.
The ninth-annual Eunice High Alumni softball tournament will be held Aug. 21 to 23 at the Eunice Recreation Complex.
Joe Nagata spent 22 seasons walking the sidelines at Eunice High and St. Edmund.
If his squads averaged 50 players a season, then the legendary coach touched more than 1,100 athletes in his head coaching tenure.
