The Eunice High Bobcats exploded for 14 runs in the first three innings on their way to a 14-2 victory over the Beau Chene High Gators in District 4-4A action Thursday night at Bobcat Field.
A change in the Bengals’ game schedule may have been the start of something new for LSU Eunice baseball team and the Eunice Recreation department.
For the first time this season, the Lady Bengals (35-3) moved to the top of the NCJAA Division II softball polls.
Former leader Jones County Junior College (24-2) slipped down to third place, while Phoenix College (36-4) is now in second place.
As a sophomore, Brandon Ndubueze was one of the main players for Eunice High head basketball coach Chad Andrepont.
The other District 4-4A coaches also noticed his contributions as Ndubueze was named to the All-Defensive Team.
