Given time to dress, suspect flees; partner in crime arrested

 If police had taken a man into custody as he was, he would have been easier to locate when he ran.

Morgan City police went into an abandoned house after a complaint Sunday night that two people had been seen going into it and carrying a mattress.

Responding officers reported finding a man and woman lying nude in the living room of the abandoned residence.

The couple was detained and allowed time to put clothes on. During that time, the male suspect fled and has not been captured.

The female was charged with criminal mischief.
