Suspect held in VP bomb threat

A man who allegedly called in a bomb threat as a diversion for a robbery is in custody.
The Evangeline Parish Courthouse re-opened today after being emptied just before noon Thursday when the threat was received.
A search found no evidence of an explosive device.
Police have not yet released the suspect’s name.
A bomb threat conviction carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
