Three jailed after I-10 traffic stop yields marijuana bundles

Three people from Mississippi are in the St. Martin Parish Jail after a traffic stop on I-10, east of Henderson. Troopers say during that stop they seized of over 10 pounds of marijuana.
Troopers say Sunday shortly before 1:30 a.m. troopers stopped a 2014 Chevrolet SUV driven by Dorthia Patterson, 31, of Cornith on I-10 eastbound for a traffic violation. During the stop troopers did a search of the vehicle and say they found 10.68 pounds of marijuana.
Patterson and her two passengers, Jason Miller, 26, and Jesus Garza, 35, both of Booneville, were arrested. Troopers say they also discovered that Garza was in possession of less than one gram of cocaine.
Troopers booked Patterson into the St. Martin Parish Jail for improper lane use and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. Miller was booked for possession with the intent to distribute marijuana. Garza was booked for possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and possession of cocaine.
