“Blessed are the Peacemakers,” on Jan. 15 at St. John Cathedral, Lafayette.

The Supreme Court ruled Friday that same-sex couples have a right to marry anywhere in the United States.
The court ruled 5-4 that states will have to stop enforcing bans on same-sex marriages.

Bishop Michael Jarrell, who served as pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Ville Platte, announced Thursday the formation of a a group to study the troubled high school.
A news release from the diocese stated Jarrell had sent a letter to the Sacred Heart School family.
