Medical supplies delivered to Eunice Community Health Center

Personnel from AmeriCares of Stamford, Connecticut, arrived in Eunice Friday.
AmeriCares Sal Migliaccio, Jake Raushcher and William Daley provided an overnight shipment of medical supplies shipment to the Eunice Community Health Center.

FEMA plans to locate office at Northwest Center in Eunice

The Federal Emergency Management Agency may place its representatives in Eunice at the Northwest Community Center in two to three weeks, Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot.
The operation may include the Small Business Administration and state Food Stamp workers, he said.

Some spared, some lost all in the flooding

Many people have described the Aug. 13 flood as surprising because it occurred in areas that had not flooded before.
But for others the flooding was a familiar sight.
Keith Lafleur, who lives on Stanford Road in Eunice, said the water got up to top of his mobile home’s skirting.
