More than 14,000 households receive Disaster Food Assistance

The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services issued more than $5.8 million in disaster food benefits to 14,267 households who applied for Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program aid statewide by Tuesday.

FEMA opens Eunice office

The Federal Emergency Management Agency opened a Disaster Recovery Center Wednesday at Word Ministries, 1960 West Laurel in Eunice.

Church finds itself in the center of flood recovery

Word Ministries in Eunice is, perhaps, a church in the right place and at the right time.
On Monday, the former Walmart building that is home to Word Ministries, was selected as the site of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Disaster Recovery Center.
