United Ways helping with flood recovery

United Ways across Acadiana are accepting donations and volunteers to assist those impacted by flooding in the region.

As if the Aug. 13 flooding was not enough, rain showers, some heavy, peppered Eunice in the days to follow. The Brentwood Apartments, some of which flooded, were inundated Thursday with more water as residents there cleaned up up from the historic flooding. FEMA: Begin flood cleanup as soon as possible

It’s not too early to begin cleaning up from Louisiana’s severe storms and floods that began Aug. 11.

Flood-relief supply opens at DMV

The Eunice Community Garden, in cooperation with the Eunice Police Department, opened a temporary emergency relief center to distribute supplies for those affected by the recent severe weather and flooding.

Eunice Community Health Center is available to offer a hand-up to Louisiana residents affected by the flooding.
