Eunice police are investigating a rape complaint by a woman who said she was assaulted by her ex-husband.
The report was made at 5 p.m. Thursday by the woman.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the man and woman are going through a divorce.

Louisiana’s nonfarm employment rose to an August monthly record while the state’s unemployment rate fell to 6 percent, according to seasonally adjusted data released today by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The last day for persons to register to vote in the Oct. 24 Gubernatorial Primary Election will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
