Many in Louisiana know what it’s like to evacuate for a hurricane, taking only what is necessary, but the ancestors of many in Louisiana did not get to bring anything with them when they arrived first in Louisiana.

Park Service supports Experience Louisiana Festival with $23K grant

National Park Service Superintendent Lance Hatten announced Wednesday that the Experience Louisiana Festival has received a $23,000 grant through the service’s Lower Mississippi Delta Initiative.

Obituaries

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
