A two-vehicle wreck occurred on Aymond Street (La. 13) in front of the Chevron station at about 4 p.m. Wednesday. The wreck occurred as Shane Porche of Mamou, driving a pickup truck, was turning into the station and collided with a car driven by Jamie Fontenot of Eunice, police said.
Qualifying for the Oct. 24 elections continues until 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The following St. Landry parish candidates qualified by 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday for the statewide and parishwide elections and elections in Eunice.

The idea of a master plan for Eunice moved closer to reality at Tuesday’s city council meeting when appointments to a master plan steering committee were approved.
