State Police over the weekend said they reported the wrong person as the driver of a pickup truck that crashed earlier this month, killing a man.

Fruge'
Harry Fruge’ has announced he will be a candidate for re-election to the St. Landry Parish School Board District 13 seat in the Nov. 4 primary. The seat represents a portion of Eunice.
Fruge’ has served as a board member for three terms.
Caswell
Eunice attorney Gerard Caswell is a candidate for District Judge, Division B, St. Landry Parish in the Nov. 4 primary.
Caswell is a life-long resident of the Eunice area, the son of the late Elton and Gerry Caswell.

Bergeron has lived in Eunice for the past 25 years.
His parents are Robert and Edith Bergeron of Sulphur.
Burson
I. Jackson (Jack) Burson, Jr. has announced his candidacy for re-election as alderman at-large for Eunice in the Oct. 2 primary election.
Whether Officer Talya Fruge’s actions justified her recommended termination by Chief Ronald Dies and the City Council’s firing of her has yet to be officially debated.

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
