Moody: Seeking second term.
Mayor Claud “Rusty” Moody, Jr. has announced his candidacy for re-election in the Nov. 4 primary election.
Moody, a retired educator and administrator, is completing his first four-year term.

While the dispute over Common Core standards is getting most of the attention as public schools prepare to open for the 2014-15 year, a new law involving something near and dear to students and adults alike may have more immediate effect.

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
