IOWA – The Eunice High Lady Bobcats took a 43-30 victory over the Kinder Yellow Jackets Wednesday afternoon in their opening game of the Iowa High School Tournament.
PORT BARRE – The Eunice High Bobcats won one and lost one in action Tuesday here at the Port Barre High School Basketball Round Robin Tournament.
Next action for the Cats will come in the Teurlings Catholic Tournament on Dec. 3rd.
VILLE PLATTE – The St. Edmund Lady Jays opened the season with a 42-30 loss to Pine Prairie in the annual Turkey Tournament at Sacred Heart of Ville Platte.
St. Edmund’s Cullen Brown had seven catches for 218 yards with touchdown catches of 54, 18 and 37 yards in the in the Blue Jays’ 55-34 loss to St. Mary’s.
Blue Jay quarterback Drew Brown completed 18-of-32 passes for 373 yards with five touchdown tosses.
NATCHITOCHES – In a game where the two offenses totaled nearly 950 yards of total offense, No. 2 St. Mary’s rolled to a 55-34 quarterfinal win over No. 7 St. Edmund at Turpin Stadium.
