HAMMOND – Shade-loving hostas are ranked the No. 1 herbaceous perennial in the United States, and for good reason, said LSU AgCenter horticulturist Yan Chen.

Abigail Miller was the guest reader at StoryTime hour on July 22 and children listened as she read a storybook about recycling, “Recycling at Grandpa’s Store,” by Cecilia Minden. The meaning of the story was how to recycle, using the three R’s (Recycle, Re-use and Reduce).
