“The Mallorys” was the name given to a group of 7-8 year olds at Vacation Bible School at Our Savior’s Church.
Guest reader Myah Smith, 11, from Kinder read a story book, “The Lion and the Rat,” by La Fontaine during Wednesday’s StoryTime hour. The book was about an unlikely hero-a rat. Children had the opportunity to create their very own paper plate Lion, and enjoyed a snack of Animal Crackers.

Tenants at Goodhope Place Apartments enjoyed a 4th of July luncheon provided by the complex. The luncheon consisted of barbecue chicken and sausage, rice dressing, potato salad, green beans, pork and beans, a roll and drinks.

BATON ROUGE – Teenage girls who are considered plus-sized say shopping for clothing is a frustrating and often humiliating experience, according to a recent study.
