Mayor Scott Fontenot signs two proclamations presented by the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 8971 and Auxiliary. The proclamations include Buddy Poppy Days and Veterans Day. Buddy Poppy Days are recognized from Oct. 6 through Nov.
With Eunice citizens who were affected by the recent record-flood Acadian Medical Center held an appreciation take-home luncheon Wednesday on its campus. Hospital personnel and staff invited all local first responders, firefighters, police officers to pick up a free barbecue lunch.
The American Legion Eunice Post 129, Basile Post 261, and Auxiliary recently recognized the Boys and Girls State recipients at their monthly meeting.
