The Eunice Players’ Theatre will hold auditions for “The Dixie Swim Club” on Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The two-act comedy written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten will be on stage in September, with rehearsals beginning in August.
The OLLI from LSU Eunice recently toured the Louisiana Rum Distillery in Lacassine. They had the opportunity to taste rum and dined together at Mike’s Restaurant in Jennings. The group also made an addtional stop at the Tupper Museum in Jennings.

The 64th Annual Evangeline Parish Farm Bureau Meeting and Queen’s Contest was held March 6 at the Northside Civic Center. Winning Evangeline Parish Farm Bureau Queen is Heidi Bieber of Mamou. Bieber, 17, is a senior at St. Edmund Hight and the daughter of Kody and Shelly Bieber of Mamou.
