Railroad warning light knocked down

Two Acadiana Railway warnings lights at South East Street and East Maple Avenue were taken down sometime Friday probably by a truck. One of the lights was stolen after it was knocked down, said David Burleson, of Acadiana Railway. Trucks are not supposed to use the street, Mayor Scott Fontenot said. Burleson said each light is valued at about $2,000. From left, are Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot, Burleson and Mayor Fontenot. (Photo by Harlan Kirgan)
