The 31st Annual Here’s the Beef Cook Off & Trail Ride begins with a trail ride at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at the Yambilee Ag Arena in Opelousas.
Participation in the trail ride cost $15, which also includes samples at the cook off.
Blood donors to United Blood Services through March 17 will receive a St. Patrick’s Day T-shirt, a United Blood Services news release stated.
United Blood Services provides more than 50 Louisiana hospitals with blood products.

A St. Landry Parish School Board member who said she was going to ask for an investigation into the school system’s hiring practices last month raised a new complaint Thursday about a plan to hire a receptionist.
