U.S. Senator David Vitter, R-La., announced Monday that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has awarded a lease for a new Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Lafayette. The new facility will provide primary care and specialty care services to veterans in southwest Louisiana.

A Eunice area Parish Council member wants to discourage mud riders from tearing up public roads by allowing their trucks to be seized.
Timmy Lejeune, District 11 councilman, said, mud riders are leaving ruts 3-feet deep in some parish roads.
