A beautiful sunshine day on Sunday drove large crowds to the 30th annual World Championship Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off held at the Northwest Community Pavilion.

After 58 years and three generations of management, Slick Construction is now under new ownership.
The St. Landry Parish Council has scheduled a special meeting and committee meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Old City Market, 131 West Bellevue St., Opelousas.
